Water Body Classification from ENVISAT ASAR Wide Swath, 2007-2011, Mackenzie River Valley and Delta, Beaufort Sea Region (CA)

Schlaffer, Stefan; Sabel, Daniel; Bartsch, Annett; Wagner, Wolfgang

The regional waterbody classification is derived from ENVISAT ASAR Wide Swath data with 150 m resolution. Maps represent the extent of water bodies for the summer months July and August for the years 2007 to 2011. Water body maps indicate the presence of water (1) and no water (0). In addition, the number of measurements used to derive the water bodies product are also provided.

Water body maps are also available are for the Alaska North Slope and Alaska Highway, the Laptev Sea Coast, and the Ob Estuary.

More information about image processing and classification can be found in the product guide.
